For anyone who has worked with interfaces the Explicit overrides syntax is long overdue. Keep in mind that in an interface based project the implementation, and therefore your class declaration, is hidden from the clients. The clients won’t see Foo::doBar, only either IFoo::doBar or IFoo2::doBar.

In a real world project it doesn’t take very long before you get name collisions when writing a class that implements several interfaces. Interface designers tend to use common verbs as function names (i.e. , Open, Show, Close….) making collisions likely. The new syntax prevents having to add classes to forward interface specific calls to unique names as show below.
